Enigma2 / Linux receivers setup guide
OpenPLi documentation applies to that image ecosystem, not every Linux receiver. Do not propose flashing or replacing firmware as a routine first setup step.
Receiver firmware is its own ecosystem.
OpenPLi documentation describes receiver-specific firmware and plugins. It is not a general Android installation guide. Match the receiver model, installed image and actual account method; a firmware image for a different receiver is not a substitute.
The platform guidance below describes the manufacturer’s route. Current StarShare compatibility for the selected app, account and device still needs confirmation.
Before entering account details.
- Identify the receiver model and exact firmware/image.
- Use the image project's own model and plugin documentation.
- Ask support which account method and compatible player/plugin are actually approved.
Keep the hardware model, operating system, app publisher/version and account method together. Installing a player does not itself supply a StarShare subscription or a separate platform membership.
Use an observable first test.
Do not flash firmware as a first troubleshooting step. Preserve the current setup and ask about the actual supported receiver/account route.
After installing the confirmed compatible app, contact StarShare through WhatsApp to request the one-day free trial. Use your normal screen, output path and network. Check one known source, compare another permitted item and record the time of any failure.
Preserve credentials before changing a configuration. A refresh, app restart, data-clear operation and full device reset can have different effects. Use the actual platform prompt and avoid destructive recovery as the first diagnostic action.
