Know what the reference proves.
A channel name, a logo, a guide ID and a viewing entitlement are different kinds of evidence.
A pinned identity snapshot.
The directory uses an attributed snapshot of the iptv-org community database. It groups channel/feed identities, keeps exact reference IDs and compares names without fuzzy brand merges. Metadata fields describe the source record, not a verified StarShare channel list.
Artwork stays separate from identity.
Saved marks are matched by exact source IDs or a specifically documented primary-source identity check. Unresolved artwork is not guessed. Some profiles therefore use their name and reference details without a logo. Marks remain subject to their owners’ rights and can change.
Corrections have a source.
Bounded first-party checks found stale closures, feed histories and a conflicting launch date. Known contradictions were removed, withheld or corrected with evidence. These sampled checks do not certify every channel’s current broadcasting or every listed website.
Read the licensing evidence accurately.
The upstream repository presents a CC0 badge while its licence text uses the Unlicense/public-domain dedication and its package metadata says UNLICENSED. The authoring source retains these separate statements and hashes. They are not a licence to use third-party trademarks or a claim about distribution rights.
