Applies to: Past programmes are visible, but the current date has no entries.
The useful distinctions
- Programme listings are associated with dated times.
- A populated past window does not establish current coverage.
- The last available entry is useful evidence of a coverage boundary.
Identify the end of the available coverage
A guide can retain yesterday’s entries while having no programme information for today. That pattern is different from a completely empty guide and should be reported that way. Find the latest programme that is actually visible and keep its date and stated clock context. Avoid treating a remembered update time as proof that the current schedule was supplied, or assuming that past entries establish access to future listings.
Check the selected day before asking for new data
Confirm that the guide is displaying the intended local date, particularly near midnight or when an announcement uses another timezone. If the date is correct and the visible schedule ends earlier, the source coverage question remains. Report the first missing window and the last populated one. A viewer should not infer an account failure from this pattern or repeatedly replace working credentials in an attempt to manufacture programmes that may not be present in the source.
Hypothetical worked example
At 09:00 on 8 November 2026, a fictional guide still shows programmes through 23:30 on 7 November, but nothing on the selected 8 November page. Playback works. The viewer records that coverage boundary and confirms the local date. The next enquiry asks whether the source has supplied 8 November, rather than describing the entire service as unavailable or assuming yesterday’s entries guarantee today’s schedule.
A focused way to proceed
- Record the latest dated programme that is actually visible.
- Confirm that the selected guide date is the intended local date.
- Ask whether the source supplies the missing current window.
When to stop or ask for help
Provide the last populated and first missing dated windows so the source owner can check current coverage.
