The useful distinctions
- Download Logs is under Settings, Manage, Troubleshooting.
- The server provides a ZIP archive.
- Third-party channel/plugin logs are not included in that archive.
Capture the question with the logs
A log archive is easier to interpret when it answers a specific question. Write down the single action that failed, the expected result and the observed result. Include the approximate time and whether the event happened during scanning, matching or playback. This gives a maintainer a way into the evidence instead of a large archive with no explanation of what to look for.
Understand the archive’s scope
The downloaded package collects server-side diagnostics, but a problem can also involve a client or a separate tool. Do not assume that every component’s messages are inside the ZIP. The worked example records a local subtitle-selection reproduction without including private stream URLs. If a third-party component is involved, identify that component and use its documented log procedure rather than declaring the main archive complete by default.
Review before distribution
Logs can contain paths, server labels or other details that you do not intend to publish. Keep the original privately and prepare a reviewed copy when needed. Preserve enough surrounding context for useful diagnosis rather than sharing only a single error-looking line. Store the reproduction note with the archive so it remains meaningful after the live session has ended and the server has moved on to other activity.
A focused way to proceed
- Record server/client versions and one short reproduction.
- Note the approximate time of the observed issue.
- Open Settings, Manage, Troubleshooting and choose Download Logs.
- Save and review the ZIP contents before deciding what to share.

Downloading logs collects evidence; it does not establish the cause or send the archive to anyone.
When to stop or ask for help
For a client-only issue or third-party plugin, gather that component’s official logs as well.
