Apple’s current guidance describes several multitasking choices on supporting iPad software. Window instructions make sense only when the device exposes the relevant mode. Check the operating-system context before following a gesture shown in an old screenshot. A full-screen player layout is not automatically evidence that the iPad itself cannot arrange application windows.

Choose a task that benefits from two apps

A useful case might be keeping manufacturer help visible while checking an application’s ordinary menu. Plan that narrow task before moving windows around. A second application does not have to continue playing media for the layout test to be successful. App-specific behaviour can differ when a window is resized, so keep layout support and playback behaviour as separate observations.

Preserve a simple way back

Note the original mode and return to it if the new arrangement does not suit the task. Avoid combining a multitasking change with player reinstallation or account changes. Once the expected window controls appear, test focus and ordinary navigation first. If a particular app ignores resizing or switches presentation, consult its documentation instead of promising that every application behaves identically.
