Applies to: A favourite shows different programme information from an apparently equivalent current-list entry.
The useful distinctions
- A favourite is a saved presentation entry.
- Its current service association still needs evidence.
- Matching display names do not settle whether two references are identical.
Preserve the saved entry as a comparison
A favourite can retain information from the context in which it was created. If its programme details differ from a current-list entry, keep both temporarily rather than immediately deleting the evidence. Record their full service labels and the date window. The difference could concern an old identity, a regional edition or simply two entries that were never equivalent. A matching logo or short title cannot decide which explanation applies.
Test equivalence before rebuilding the collection
Inspect the same programme boundary from both entries. Where an approved reference is visible without exposing secrets, retain that reference privately with the observation. If the current entry is correct and the saved one differs, support can investigate that narrow relationship. Do not rebuild every favourite or claim that all saved entries have failed from one example. Conversely, an unexplained difference should not be hidden merely because both entries still play a picture.
Hypothetical worked example
On 8 November 2026, a fictional favourite called “Harbor East” shows a finance schedule, while the current Harbor East entry shows the expected regional bulletin. The viewer preserves both labels and their 18:00 comparison. Replacing the account password would not explain which saved identity differs. The next enquiry asks whether the favourite refers to an older service record, keeping the rest of the personal collection unchanged until that question is answered.
A focused way to proceed
- Keep the saved favourite until its identity is understood.
- Compare it with the complete current-list service and the same dated window.
- Report the difference before recreating unrelated favourites or replacing credentials.
When to stop or ask for help
Ask support to compare the saved and current service references using the same dated programme boundary.
