Applies to: Two household members report different guide information for apparently the same service.
The useful distinctions
- Two observations can use different saved contexts.
- A shared account does not prove identical presentation state.
- Neutral labels can identify comparison contexts without naming household members.
Make sure the observations concern the same thing
A household report is strongest when both people inspect the same full service identity and programme window. Different favourites, regions or selected dates can make two valid observations appear contradictory. Record the profile context in neutral terms rather than assuming that a shared account means every presentation choice is identical. This does not establish that a particular app supports profiles; use the distinction only where separate saved contexts actually exist.
Keep identity separate from personal information
Profile A and Profile B are enough to describe the comparison in a public or general support summary. The people’s names, viewing histories or account credentials are not needed to explain a guide difference. If the same dated service still behaves differently, preserve that result for the appropriate private support route. Avoid changing both contexts at once, because doing so can remove the ability to identify which saved state contributed to the discrepancy.
Hypothetical worked example
At 18:30 on 8 November 2026, fictional Profile A opens Harbor North from a favourite, while Profile B opens Harbor South from a current list. Their local bulletins differ. Recording the complete regional names reveals that this was not yet a same-service comparison. The next test uses Harbor North in both contexts, with neutral labels and no disclosure of the household members’ identities or unrelated programme selections.
A focused way to proceed
- Use neutral labels such as Profile A and Profile B.
- Compare the same complete service and dated programme window.
- Record only the relevant difference and keep personal history out of the report.
When to stop or ask for help
Provide a neutral same-service, same-date comparison before requesting an account-wide guide correction.
